NEW YORK (Reuters) - Rainy Friday forced the cancellation of every match of the US Open. The tournament officials said the men's singles final will be held on Monday.
The quarter-final match between third seed Rafael Nadal and 11-seeded Fernando Gonzalez, which was suspended on Thursday due to rain, will be the first match in Saturday.
Nadal led Gonzalez 7-6, 6-6 while the Chilean serving at 2-3 in the tie-break.
The following match will be women's semi-finals, meeting Danish Caroline Wozniacki and Yanina Wickmayer, and Serena Williams facing Kim Clijsters.
Since Nadal and Gonzalez will be completing their match Saturday, the men's semi-finals have been rescheduled for Sunday with the championship final to be played on Monday, officials said.
The women's final is now scheduled to take place Sunday.
